Vintage Works 1

Recently I have started to work in film again.

I always liked film better than digital from the beginning, when I took classes in high school.
The problem is. Now that I'm out of school I don't have access to a darkroom. So film began to become a hassle. But. Not any more. In my local area I found a lab that specializes in the black and white process .

I can get a member ship there. So thats what Im planning on doing. I can work in a darkroom, develop negatives of all kinds (35mm, 120, 4x5s ect.). They even have a matting and framing area. Also they have a yearly gallery for members to showcase work. That would be great for some exposure.

This image was shot with a Soligor 45. A camera from 1945. I love the vintage look it gives to the images. I have acquired many vintage cameras ranging from the 40s 50s and even from the 1800s. I plan on shooting with all of them.

So this was taken at a local dam/lake. More to come!

Update.

A update on my themed 2012 Portfolio.

At the beginning of the year I started a NEW Portfolio for my Spring semester for college. You can see some posts on it if you scroll down a bit. But for some reason it didn't work out this time. I only completed two images out of the twelve total.

Im taking a break from this series for now. Someday I will come back to it. You can count on that.

But these photographs below are working edits/unfinished images that I'm working towards making it into the final set.

Creepy 1

This is a candid photograph of my friends by a fire. I shot it with a long shutter speed to get that ghostly look to the person and fire. I liked how it came out. Later I turned it black and white to get an even creepier look.
